Kimberly-Clark Sued By Solo Inventor

Dr. Marv Freadman (Chelsea, MA) sued Kimberly-Clark Worldwide, Inc. (Dallas, TX) for infringement of Patent No. 6,589,761 directed to a method for detecting bacteria using CO₂.

 

Although the complaint lists the typical infringement related claims (inducement, willfulness, etc.), it contains a number of typos and generally reads as if the author is not one who regularly litigates patents.

 

Interestingly Plaintiff’s counsel also appears to have been disciplined by the Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseers for his behavior in state court actions:  http://www.mass.gov/obcbbo/bd00-060.htm.  I’m not sure Judge Woodlock would stand for any of that behavior.
